On October 19, 2024, Night Cafe and Mywebsport ( www.mywebsport.com ) joined forces to organize the  " Green Cities Billiard Tour ," an innovative tournament aimed at promoting eco-friendly sports events. What made this event truly special was that it brought together 4 different billiard clubs from 3 different countries— all connected online , thanks to Mywebsport’s advanced technology. Yes, you read that right: online billiard play is now possible! Reducing CO2, One Game at a Time The primary objective of the Green Cities Billiard Tour was to reduce CO2 emissions by eliminating the need for travel, allowing players to compete from their local clubs. On September 21, 2024, the Night Café in Heilbronn hosted a thrilling 3-cushion billiard tournament featuring 14 talented players from various regions. The event, which brought together a diverse pool of competitors, was filled with excitement and competitive spirit from start to finish. The tournament atmosphere was electric, with all participants giving their best efforts until the very last shot. Each player showcased their skills, making the competition intense and engaging for both the players and spectators. At the end of the day, Cetin Duran emerged as the champion, securing first place with an impressive average of 0.952 . Mehmet Housein claimed the second spot with an average of 0.886 , closely followed by Nam Van Tran , who took third place with an average of 0.882 . This event marked a spectacular end to an exciting season, showcasing some of the finest talents in the billiard community. The tournament witnessed an outstanding performance by Cetin Duran , who emerged as the undisputed champion. With a remarkable average of 1,046, Duran's skill and precision were unparalleled, leaving his competitors far behind. Despite facing some challenges in the recent tournaments, Duran's ability to make a triumphant comeback to the top was truly commendable.                                                         On the 6th of July, 2024, I had the pleasure of participating in a thrilling billiards tournament held in Gelnhausen. As an enthusiast of the sport, I was eager to experience the renowned atmosphere and camaraderie that this annual event promises.  Gelnhausen, with its charming ambiance, provided the perfect backdrop for the tournament. The event is a highlight of the year for many, organized meticulously by my friends Michael Klemens and Nascho .   On June 22, the Night Cafe proudly hosted a thrilling 3-Cushion Billiard tournament at BC Stuttgart. This event was a true celebration of skill, precision, and sportsmanship, attracting an enthusiastic crowd and showcasing top-tier talent. With more than 50 players flocking to the club, the atmosphere was electric, partly due to the concurrent EU-Open tournament in the pool section, which added an extra layer of excitement. Our 3-Cushion Billiard tournament saw 16 highly skilled competitors step up to the challenge. The level of competition was fierce, with each player bringing their A-game, making it a night to remember for all billiard enthusiasts present. On May 25, 2024, we organized a very special 3 Cushion Billiard Tournament. This event marked the beginning of a new era in billiard tournaments, with players joining from Stuttgart and Innsbruck. The group phase, quarter-finals, and semi-finals were played at their respective clubs, but the final brought an innovative twist: it was played online, connecting Innsbruck and Stuttgart virtually. This tournament was the first round of the "Green Cities Billiard Tour," an initiative by Night Cafe and Mywebsport. The main idea behind this tour is to attract numerous players and organize large-scale tournaments while simultaneously reducing our carbon footprint. By allowing players to compete from their own clubs and hosting finals online, we aim to combine the excitement of competition with sustainability.
